Description
The UKS 400, UKS 700 and UKS 1000 trimming saws are designed for trimming both plastered and unplastered lumber. They can be used to cut dried and non-dried lumber. The machine can cut material individually or in a package. The machines find their application from sawmills to e.g. Furniture production. The machine operator has the opportunity to cut the material to the exact dimensions on the machine using manual or pneumatic stops, or to cut out defects in the material. Material handling is facilitated by conveyors, which can be driven or non-driven. The machines are manufactured in left and right variants (according to the input of material into the machine). Of course, there are safety features that ensure safe work on pruning saws. The machine meets the strict requirements for work safety, resulting from the relevant regulations and EC directives.
The principle of the saw
The basis of the construction is a solid welded frame, equipped with a swinging arm with a saw unit. The arm feed is ensured by a pneumatic cylinder with a continuously adjustable cutting speed. The main difference between the UKS 400 cutting saw and the UKS 700 and UKS 1000 saws is in the trajectory of the saw blade movement, which allows different cutting material widths to be different with the same saw blade diameter (see cutting diagram below). There is a two-hand control on the cutting saws to start the cutting cycle. The front cover of the saw is fixed or retractable by means of a pneumatic cylinder (optional). The upper cover of the saw blade also serves as the pressure of the cut material.
Conveyors UKS pruning saws can be supplemented with several variants of conveyor systems:
- fixed tables
- roller systems (without drive), · driven roller systems

- increased by the rapid determination of the length of the cut material.
As an additional device, several ways of precise setting of the cut dimensions can be supplied with the cutting saw:
- fixed stop – manually adjustable on the roller conveyor ruler
- digital stop system – with fast and accurate length selection (manual setting of each dimension)
- fully automatic NC system – computer cut setting with automatic stop, records of manufactured assortments, parts lists, extraction program, barcode printer, etc. Special construction At the customer’s request, we produce non-standard cutting saws designed for specific production technologies.
